Sad news. Highly recommend Blakemore's 'Arguments with England', a vivid memoire of his years as a young Australian actor making it in postwar Britain. An astute observer of the period who wrote beautifully. Michael Blakemore was a superb craftsman of theatre www.theguardian.com/stage/2023/d...
