When I was a reporter, I did a few stories over the years about military hand-to-hand combat training. There have been minor refinements over decades. The trainers I interviewed all said the same thing, "Killing people hasn't really changed over centuries." This UFC contract is wasteful.

Gatekeeping exists in many places and fandoms. It's not one sided. I read about "flippy shit", "all matches are the same", "AEW has lost its TV contract", etc. Of course there are anti-WWE ppl. I understand being influenced by peer pressure, etc. if you are younger. I don't let that affect me.

Why? AEW's product is for fans who enjoy wrestling. Why would non-wrestling games be successful? Especially when there's a group of 'sports entertainment' who wouldn't give any AEW a look simply because of tribalism. Who's going to buy a non-wrestling AEW game? Maybe it's me, but I don't see it.

Cody Rhodes is a smart guy who's learned many things from his father, his brother and being a student of wrestling. He wanted to be an actor before he chose wrestling. He'd be foolish to leave WWE and super agent Ari Emmanuel. Plus, he saw friends past WWE prime get pay cuts. Cena path forward.
