I love Dungeon Crawler Carl, it's my favorite book series as of late. But man, getting through the newest book (Parade of Horribles) is a slog. I've been reading it for months and keep putting it back down. I'm reluctant to DNF it because I love the series, but this one is rough. Send me strength!

These books are excellent, even at full price, but especially heavily discounted like this. I particularly recommend Hummingbird and Salvation Spring.

This is a geniune question, even if wrapped in criticism: How does this Amazon pricing for OPERATION BOUNCE HOUSE compute? The Kindle costs half the cost of the hardcover? And the paperback costs *more* than the hardcover? @penguinrandomhouse.bsky.social or anyone please make this make sense.

How does this pricing make any sense? Who would spend this on the Kindle edition in comparison to the giant hardcover? Are publishers thinking things through?
Amazon screenshot showing a book is $21.99 for the Kindle edition (ludicrous), and $28.80 for the Hardcover.

I see that neither NetGalley nor Edelweiss has galleys of the new Jack Reacher book "Exit Strategy" available for review. This is the first time I can remember where ARCs of the next Reacher were not available at least 2-3 months before release, which is now around the corner. I wonder why this is.

“What’s your argument against generative AI?” Do you mean the environmental, economic, social, ethical, cognitive, creative, or practical argument? Because I feel like any one of those, even in isolation from one another, makes using it a non-starter.
