The Trump administration on Friday said it has started to facilitate the return to the U.S. of an Egyptian man who was deported to Equatorial Guinea, in a rare case of the government working to reverse a third-country deportation.
A federal judge in Arizona earlier this week ordered the Department of Homeland Security to return Ahmed Soliman to the U.S. from the country in central Africa where he has no ties, and respond how it plans to do SO.
The administration said it is working
"collaboratively" with Soliman's lawyers to find and contact him, and is "beginning the process to facilitate" his return, according to Friday's filings in the case from Timothy Courchaine, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona. An FR24 map showing N700KW fly right by Malabo on the evening of October 13.An FR24 map showing N62FF fly past Malabo over mainland Africa on Wednesday evening An FR24 map showing N352BH flying over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean toward Dakar, Senegal. Playbook reports that Trump is considering replacing Susie Wiles, the last thing from preventing his Admin from REALLY going off the rails. He wants to blame SUSIE that people hate him and is considering promoting Stephen Miller, one main reason why people DO hate him. www.politico.com/playbook
Trump’s phone-a-friend inquiries have picked up with the approach of the November election, as he expresses private frustration with his feeble poll numbers.

One senior elected Republican official who received a call from Trump said the president had raised “the first honest questions about Susie.”

Trump has floated several people who could replace Wiles as chief of staff: The senior elected Republican official said the president had mentioned Stephen Miller, his deputy chief of staff, and Randy Levine, the president of the New York Yankees, as an outside-the-building option.

Trump is also considering Steve Witkoff, Bill Pulte and Kevin McCarthy, people close to the president told us. Allies of McCarthy, the former House speaker, have been arguing that he could help Trump handle a hostile Democratic Congress.

The person who trained the officer testified that ICE does not consider pulling a gun on someone a "use of force" and that ICE has no policies expressly banning pointing guns at other motorists. However, he was so evasive on the stand that the judge considered disregarding his whole testimony.
ICE training officer John Parodi, who trained Morgan, testified that displaying or pointing a firearm is not a “use of force,” and standard police restrictions, like not pointing firearms at motorists, do not apply to ICE.

“There is no tit-for-tat matching force; there is no policy that limits or forces the agent to react to a specific defined force or specific defined response,” Parodi said. “Our officers have the ability to judge and deploy a reasonable level of force.”

Under cross-examination, Minnesota offered department policy stating officers may use force only when no safe alternatives exist — exhaustively questioning Parodi on what constitutes force, if a firearm is a lethal weapon and how officers are trained.

Parodi, who noted he is under a Touhy demand, often said he could not comment on agency protocols or insights into training beyond general concepts, though his shifting testimony drew sharp criticism from Brasel.

“This witness is all over the place in terms of what he answers and what he doesn’t,” Brasel said. “I can’t discern any line. I’m really close to just disregarding his entire testimony.”
