This is my favorite Joe Kubert splash page, from Justice League of America (1960) #200. He didn't draw Superman that often, but it was always a treat when he did.

Hawkman is trying to stop what he thinks is a Superman robot from recovering a kryptonite meteor. Assuming by way of comic book logic that those robots might be more vulnerable to ancient weaponry than to lasers and what have you, he has armed himself with a mace and other medieval armaments, and has successfully destroyed two Superman robots just so. But this turned out to be the actual Superman wearing transparent lead armor, which is totally a thing, and Hawkman shatters his mace against Superman's invulnerable body. Then (not pictured) Superman literally punches him into orbit.
