Humanist. I think shared values, recognition of shared humanity, and decent behaviour towards others are ultimately more important than beliefs or identity. We need to talk more. I spend too much time keeping up with politics

It has been long recognised that a key element in solving the housing crisis is to encourage elderly individuals to move out of large houses to make way for young families. Badenoch's headline policy would ensure they either stay put or trade up to much bigger houses. Genius 🤪

Sharone Lifschitz speaking at Progressive Judaism's 7 October memorial last Sunday. Sharone spoke about her parents, Yocheved and Oded, both taken hostage. Yocheved was freed after 17 days; Oded was killed. Her words urge us towards a more hopeful future for Israel-Palestine.

Foolish of Left not to recognise Badenoch has done well at this conference. Attempt to revert to 1970s 2-party politics prob won’t work, but not a crazy angle. Labour sound ok but need answers on growth, borrowing, & managing union power (ref reducing party donation rule constraints).

Good @chionwurah.bsky.social piece. It’s convenient that there’s a monopoly App Store for my iphone -same if I had Google - but it’s ripping me off (and you too), as well as app developers. Monopolies aren’t allowed elsewhere. Why here?

There’s a difference between sharing someone’s journalism and taking it to make your own content. I’ve had my work lifted multiple times by this content creator. It’s particularly frustrating when he talks about his views growing as local news fades away, while using the work of local journalists.
