I teach a lot of nursing and social work students in my gen ed creative writing classes. Like this person, they come in thinking education is job training. I try to help them leave not only w disciplinary knowledge but also w knowledge that education prepares them to be deeply human

Excited to get my copy today of this edited collection on the TV show Letterkenny that includes an essay I wrote on Indigenous Feminisms & Survivance. The book’s edited by my colleague & other chapters cover all sorts of fascinating topics. Happy to say it’s now available wherever books are sold!

Answers for @bettysueblue.bsky.social - add yours to her list! 1. For me, hybrid means between/beyond genres. 2. I prepare the way I know how to prepare generally, but perhaps it lends itself to hybrid things: read/view/listen widely, regardless of genre or time period or art form.
