could be her, sure, but especially for something as high-profile as a senate campaign it seems much more likely to me that someone else at least agreed it would benefit her, if it wasn’t already a suggestion from someone. Obviously doesn’t absolve her since the final decision was up to her.

One little memory I have from around that time was that she was one of the like 6 GOPers who voted to oust McCarthy as speaker, and while the rest made no secret they opposed him from the right, she said she did so because he wouldn’t take up some bipartisan bill she was a lead sponsor.

(same thing with her general “moderation”, which she became a bit of a media darling for at first in 2021/22)

nowhere near as niche, but the first Disturbed album (The Sickness) is another definite so bad it’s good. plenty of nu metal I like, and I don’t even mind some of their later songs, but that album is just completely laughable from start to end. overtly edgy but in maybe the funniest way possible.
