I love easy linux has gotten. I picked up this second hand laptop, wiped windows 11 off the drive and got linux mint rolling and ive havent had to touch the terminal once. i remember the days of ubuntu 8.04 and how much more work it was back then to make sure stuff worked.

Since im possibly going back to college in a couple months, ive been saving up money for a new laptop. I found a great one for an affordable price but I didn't have all of it, I messaged the seller and turns out, we went to high school together. He offered to knock what I didn't have off the price.

Future Century still does New York Pride #art

A digitally colored sketch of Team Neo America at a pride parade.
Janet is in a pan flag tee and cuffed shorts, and has a sign in one hand that says "Support your sisters, not just your cis-ters" and the other hand around Shirley's waist.
Shirley is wearing a dress that says "self-made woman" and is flashing a peace sign at the camera.
Chibodee is wearing his normal choker, a shirt that says "Some men were born with the right body, others had to fight for it", cutoff shorts, and the bi pride colors painted on his face.
Bunny is wearing a tank top, mini skirt, headband, and a belt with a spade on it, and is hugging Chibodee with one arm and showing off her ace pride manicure with the other.
Cath is wearing a rainbow tank top, capris and sunglasses, and is smiling at the rest of the group.

I can tell the midterms are coming, all of a sudden my youtube shorts are laced with right wing bullshit, no matter how many times I click that I'm not interested.

I've been on an action movie kick. Started with Constantine then Johnny Mnemonic, Burglar and now Bloodsport. Of those I hadn't seen Constantine and bloodsport. I realized recently I hadn't seen that many JCVD movies. Gunna try and watch more this week.

You can be tired, but you'll never be as tired as an indoor cat who's slept for 18 hours, eaten 4 meals, looked out the window for 20 minutes, and decided it's time for another nap.

Jinx the green eyed bobtail cat looking out the window from the back of her tan chair.

I had a terrifyingly online thought earlier... someone who is studying history is a student in.... IRL LORE. so since i'm thinking of doing a BA in history, I will be an IRL LOREMASTER.

The amount of push back ive gotten about going back to college is wild. Im still doing it but man, people really trying to convince me to keep working crappy jobs.

jbeavis100 @jbeavis100.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Put in my application and fafsa information for college today, I think im going to go for it.

jbeavis100 @jbeavis100.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

If I ever won the lottery I would just go to college and learn forever. I love learning things. The more I think about it, the more I think I do want to go back to college.

Strongly considering going back to college next semester. Its been 10 years of bullshit jobs and something needs to change.

I for one thought the n64 was overrated before it was cool to dunk on the war crimes 64. I don't hate it or anything but outside of a handful of (admittedly great) first and second party titles. It has an abysmal library. Following up on this, the saturn is incredibly slept on.

Am I the only one deeply concerned that some of the most talented people from Rockstar games have left in the last few years and that it might reflect in gta 6?

I need to setup insignia on my xbox... i wanna see if I can get people to play my guilty pleasure game, goldeneye rogue agent with me 😭😭

ok so, i finally played 007 blood stone and i take back saying from russia with love is the last great bond game, blood stone was definitely great. i blame activision/ea/mgm/whoever for pulling the game from all stores. if it wasn't for extra curricular ways of getting the game, i never would have.

All the excitement about ff14 running on switch 2 is really amusing to me as a long term player of ffxi. Mmo's are not really known for being incredibly demanding games guys. A few years before steam deck, I used a gpd win to play xi and walk to the corner store at the same time. (Have fun tho kids)

Beat ODST, I think i liked it more than 3. Only 2 more halo games in my collection to get through. Might play reach tomorrow or Thursday night. I heard 4 was the last good one so I probably won't try and track down 5.
