Looking at all this, I don't think Newsom is going to run for President. Instead it looks like he's trading in all his political credit for corporate credit, and looking for a comfortable landing in a board position. He knows full well his time is up, so he doesn't have to pretend any more.

Hey, want to know what the next ticking timebomb is for AI Datacentres... It's all the datacenter compute units that were shipped with "Liquid Metal" interface layers in their chip package cooling systems. The seals on those will eventually degrade, and spill conductive liquid onto the boards.

TLDR for this thread: The Debt to Value ratio of the merger, and inevitable cannibalisation of consolidation, means reduced income, means less ability to pay off debts, means more risk if there's setback that would require more loans, means almost inevitable bankruptcy or fire-sale of franchises.

I honestly think the Paramount/Warner merger will inevitably end in bankruptcy, because it's following the exact same path of over-leveraged buyouts that have folded. Because it'll have a 7x ratio of Debt to Value of the combined companies. They intend to 'reduce that' post-buyout, but only to 4x.
