Our Selkie is a rescue from Ireland too, post Covid. Charity (Glasgow) told us there were so many dogs being dumped that Irish orgs couldn’t cope and linked with other countries’ sighthound groups. Even then, not all dogs found homes.

THIS. There's a very large university near me that offers forgivable loans to its staff/students for buying a house in a defined set of city blocks around the uni. All this means is the price within the catchment area is $30k higher than across the street.
