Apple maps is terrible to pointless if you switch from Car to Walk or Cycle. The example here is Ballydehob > Mt Gabriel > Schull - set while in CAR mode. Switch to Walk or Cycle and Schull disappears and no option to add stops. ALL ROUTES ARE ON ROADS!

Apple maps shows CAR route while also missing variations of the route.

Switching to WALK and it just ends at Mt Gabriel with no option to add the final destination of Schull back in.

It also includes an alternative you could take by Car or Cycle which IS NOT included in the other two.

Cycle route also IS NOT continued on to Schull and stops at Mt Gabriel.

Also excluded is an alternate route, the ‘better’ one available by Walk version.

The location is a suburban area of Dublin, Ireland - where unfortunately, a fair amount of people follow the trends of paving over front and rear gardens, putting down plastic grass, etc., so there may be fewer trees, shrubs, and hedges these days.
Also, next door - where in fairness there are a lot of trees and shrubs (bay, holly, etc.) - our neighbour was doing quite a lot of strimming and pruning. I suppose he could have damaged or destroyed an existing nest?

Good question Tom! Starting fresh edged in ahead. I was 50/50 on either method. Not worried about ‘losing’ old posts, no biggy there. So far rebuilding follows / followers has an appeal to it. Just got to work out again how to set up custom handle here. 🤓
