I grew up Baptist and yes we were encouraged to evangelize to Catholic and Mormon friends because former were pagans and latter were in a cult and they were all going to hell. I descend from every kind of Protestant and drove much of family crazy that half of us ended up marrying cultural Catholics.

I am feeling very disappointed in political science. The world is crying for more normative work on basically everything political and the incentive structure of the discipline continues to actively discourage this work. Democracy, climate, ethics of war, AI, these are normative governance issues.
