There have been two occasions in my career where I had to go to war with teammates against mistaken understandings of probability. In both cases, it was because people expected large numbers of d6s to occasionally result in maximum damage. But the curves for 3d6 and 15d6 (e.g.) look like this:

Dwarf fortress update: finally made a dungeon because this dwarf stole something very valuable in front of 20 witnesses. A bit later I check in on the dungeon and discovered an unrelated dwarf has discovered her kink

Dwarf fortress update: this second colony is better because er I now remember I have to set up a still for booze asap. Unexpected joy… the absolutely carnage my cats are leaving on the shores of this stream I’m next to? It’s all dead mussels as far as the eye can see. I also have too many cats

Oh yes I think me going at high tide means the salmon had more of a chance to swim around the hungry maws, and by afternoon the large mammals look quite rotund and not really working as hard to hunt 😆
