If they have a bath, cool bath bombs? The usborne sticker books are good - the little fairy dressing ones are easier than the bigger books. Or books - the Worst Witch usually a hit. If she has a favourite animal a wee set of figures - especially a family group!

They did family of 4 early bird tickets - £18.50 each (plus then about £20 of fees!) Ticketmaster vultures!

They say when you order that Royal Mail deliveries may arrive a day either side of what you pick, and to use DPD if you want to guarantee a specific date. Assumes DPD are actually reliable in your area! Have booked my mum's birthday flowers for tomorrow, when her birthday is on Monday

🤦‍♀️of course he did! There's a launderette on the corner near our flat where someone is consistently parked in the bus stop/on double yellows cos they can't be arsed to walk across the road from Sainsbury's car park. It completely blocks the line of sight turning out our street.

Everything I can find talks about patients up to age 79. I think those over 80 in Sept 2013 have simply never been offered it. Will need to ask my father in law if he remembers (born March 33)

Jane Munday @janemunday.bsky.social · 19/06/2026
I'm guessing they also did something odd with the 80+ year olds then too. I can't find that easily online. The roll out started in 2013, so the under Sept 33 ones would be the 79 year olds
120
Jane Munday @janemunday.bsky.social · 19/06/2026
Probably cos original shingles vaccine rollout was weird. They did patients who were 70 or 79 on a date, then the next year those 78, 70 & 79; and each year after new 78 years olds were eligible. So people who were 71 the 1st year weren't eligible till 7 years after the people who were 70 in year 1.

The Loki series by @louiestowell.bsky.social is excellent, and graphic novel series Barb the Brave too (daughter 6 loves it and has started rereading it herself). Son (9) has just got into Percy Jackson at bedtime (he reads the first page), as well as the Pratchett Tiffany Aching series.

I got separate rubella and measles vaccines too when I was young (after having rubella as a baby). No idea when those were though. My EU colleagues are horrified we don't know if we're vaccinated, they all have their records from birth! Hopefully the GP will see sense and just vaccinate you.

Depending where you lived in 1994, you might have got a measles-rubella vaccine in school as a catch-up program. I remember them doing it for us (age13) as there was scandal when one of the girls said she might be pregnant! www.publications.scot.nhs.uk/files/1996-5...

@trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social Do you still have a link to that article on drowning that you normally share on twitter? I can't find it. Kids are doing 'drowning prevention week' at lessons, splashing around and shouting! Older one learning to use pool noodles to rescue a friend at least too.

Why UPF is Dumb — Anthony Warner
UPF, or Ultra Processed Food, is a stupid classification system that tells us nothing we did not already know about food. It is as silly as defining the health of food by what letter it begins with.
