I'm pretty convinced by the recent Bayesian meta-analysis of selective decontamination of the digestive tract for ventilated patients. evidence.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/... So this interview lasted 2 hours so this “you’re scaring me” part might seem like an overreaction or fearmongering to someone without that context. There’s a lot of evidence to support my hypothesis that a potential H5N1 pandemic would be worse than COVID.

Our paper describing a new sequencing-based neutralization assay for influenza virus is now published in Journal of Virology: journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/... This new approach makes it possible to measure 100s (or even ~1000) neutralization titers in a single 96-well plate.
