Great news, Victoria! The Stadacona Park playground is reopening tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this much-loved playground back to life — in record time! We appreciate the patience, support and fundraising efforts of the community throughout this process. #I❤️Stadacona

This point goes severely under-discussed in talking about the housing crisis. I've also been forced to live in moldy substandard housing. It's tempting to keep piling "nice to haves" on to new housing, but when it reduces the amount of new housing we get, many suffer in old, often dangerous, housing

YAY! #yyjpoli - @davethompsonvic.bsky.social and @mattdellvictoria.bsky.social 's motion to prioritize the 'gap' in the Pandora street bike lanes to Oak bay junction and Shelbourne passed unanimously after Gardiners bid to defer failed.. (I bet we'll read about how awful this all is in the TC btw)
Recommendation
That Council direct staff to:
1) Prioritize expansion of the All Ages and Abilities (AAA) bike and roll mobility network on Pandora street, east of Cook, to connect with both Oak Bay Junction and the Shelbourne protected route via Begbie by the end of 2026.
2) Provide a verbal update to council on the current plans for the expansion of the cycling network in 2026 and what the implications to the 2026 financial plan would be, if any, to complete the Pandora East Begbie/Shelbourne project by the end of 2026.
