When I talk about digital privacy, there is always some smug genius who shrugs and tells me, "Who cares? We all know we don't have any privacy anyway." Nothing could be more wrong. Convincing you that the fight is already over to the way people in power get you to stop resisting.

These throwable fire extinguishers seem like a real-life example of xkcd.com/937 — they have really good reviews from everyone except the few people who tried using them to put out fires

I've yet to see an argument for how LLM output amounts to "plagiarism" that wouldn't also apply to a human author reading a bunch of her favorite writer and writing a book heavily inspired by it. But if *that's* plagiarism, then huge swaths of fantasy novels are illegally plagiarising Tolkien or D&D

If you bill yourself as a journalist, you have a responsibility to be as right as possible. Especially before you start calling things you don't understand "rediculous." You cannot be both the source of information and harmlessly incorrect when making pronouncements. Or people will laugh at you.

I have the solution to this current discourse: all new accounts must first upload their Activision Blizzard Diversity Space scale before a tailored list of blocked words is applied to their account.

The tonedeaf Activision Blizzard Diversity Space chart, an embarrassment.
