Britain *is* broken. Brexit broke Britain. And Nigel Farage is benefitting from the wreckage. This was always my greatest fear with Brexit - that it would bring about stagnant conditions that favour extreme populism. Much like drug addiction causes crashes that make the drug more seductive.
