Reminder: this case didn't come down to Cycle Toronto's "bike lanes good" v. the province's "bike lanes bad" evidence. The province's own internal documents (and their staff briefing to cabinet) confirmed that bike lanes do not cause traffic congestion and ripping them out will put lives at risk.

Love this story! Bogotá, Colombia, aims to achieve gender parity in cycling by 2039, as women currently account for only 28% of daily bicycle trips. The city is addressing barriers such as safety concerns and lack of cycling skills by building more protected bike lanes and offering cycling lessons.

‘They were told bikes were for men’: how Latin America’s city of cycling is breaking gender barriers
With less than a third of cycling journeys taken by women, Colombia’s capital, Bogotá, is installing bike lanes, teaching cycling and making sure ‘stereotypes are left behind’

The Ford government already plans to reduce 36 conservation authorities across Ontario to 9, and now this! One of the mandates of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation & Parks is to "protect Ontario’s air, land, water, species at risk and their habitats." Both these plans contradict that.

Some highlights: Denison Avenue and The Jane Loop, both set in Toronto. Denison Avenue being a street away from me and set in the time I have lived here was weird but great to see another perspective of my version of the city. The Jane Loop, set here in the 60s shows how the city changed.
