From Marshall Jones. InfoNews Managing Editor on Kelowna Centre: ..."absolute incompetence that David Eby himself never showed up once". 🔥
Marshall Jones--InfoNews.ca Managing Editor:

If there's a riding I am watching closely this provincial election, it's Kelowna Centre.

Two years ago, former city councillor Loyal Wooldridge was 40 votes away from taking that seat for the NDP. As far as I can tell, the party did diddly-squat to assist—as is tradition when they don't have much hope here, which is to say, always.

It's almost like having an established name and presence volunteer for them was a shock and a surprise. It was absolute incompetence that David Eby himself never showed up once.

What a failure of imagination. What a statement it would have been for Eby and the NDP to win a seat in what former premier Christy Clark called the "cradle of free enterprise."

But was that a fluke of circumstance, to get as close as he did?

Wooldridge is up against Kristina Loewen again, still one of the weakest links in the BC Conservative chain. Two years ago, she wouldn't come out of hiding. She refused to do debates, forums, or interviews, and even refused to explain why. How many votes did that cost her?

Now, she says it was because she was “absolutely brand new” and it was “really overwhelming”—which is fair if, you know, this were high school and not a job responsible for writing laws governing nearly six million people. Come on.

That seems like such a key point here: someone in power understood the urgency Governments have so utterly failed to respond to this crisis. People like Nyx and Kalicum stepped in and this court ruling acknowledges both their efforts and the abdication of government

School Meals Registration Opens Soon
We're putting the finishing touches on a new online registration system for our School Meals Program in partnership with School District 83.

Parents and caregivers will soon be able to register their child online before the start of the school year, making the process simpler and more convenient than ever. Watch our website, social media, and email updates for registration details in the coming weeks.
We're looking forward to another year of helping ensure students have access to healthy, nutritious meals that support learning and well-being.

Well, Reid's acquaintance posted an ai generated image of a farm with a tractor. This post was seeking a candidate for council with "Big Food" knowledge and to contact the mayor because he, allegedly, cares about "farming, nutrition and local food policy". #Kamloops #kampaign2026

Thinking about running for City Councilor this election?
One thing I've noticed campaigning this year......very few council candidates have a background in food security or agriculture. This matters a lot for Kamloops.
If that's your world, farming, nutrition, local food policy, the Mayor's wants to hear from you. Reach out at mayor@kamloops.ca.

It's from Cindy Sonne for Kamloops City Council and she used an ai generated image of a farm. Looks kinda fake, super green, even rows of crops, mountains in the background, tractor going through a field.
