How cute! My local Acme Corporation division has a similar sign outside their Hand-Held Munitions outlet store. (There’s some pretty large crater-esqu potholes in their driveway so I generally take my mountain-bike)

This is the kind of thing I would need agenic report development to assist with before I get really invested in it. There are a LOT of moving parts required to build something like this in #PowerBI using core visuals. If I can build Small Multiples with dynamic panel and axis options I’ll bite.

TIL that not all "groups" are equal when it comes to managing *access* to #PowerBI reports (via the App Audience dialog) vs managing what *data* they see (via the Row-Level Security dialog). You can use M365 groups for app access, but not for RLS (PBI says they are invalid, but not *why* this is).

I agree with @gregdeckler.bsky.social that the current approach is a recipe for disaster given a) the complexities of how overrides work are way over the heads of say a payroll person who is workspace admin; and b) Microsoft’s tool to let that admin see who has access (and how) FLAT OUT SUCKS.

in the past software required effort. that effort was a good filter for ideas. someone could put a lot of effort towards a bad idea, but they never thought the idea was bad themselves. this also forced developers to consider broader appeal / use cases. what LLMs have done is narrow appeal / effort

Interesting video on Microsoft fabric (over)pricing. Reminds me of an org I worked for that had everyone on “no fixed charge just pay as you go” mobile data plans that ended up costing many thousands per month compared to the $6.99 plan I later switched them to. Orgs generally suck at this.
