When I was a kid, my mom's boyfriend took her to a Star Trek convention to see William Shatner speak. This was back when cell phones were huge & very unusual to see. But right in the middle of Shatner's talk, some guy in the front row got a call. He looked mortified... & Shatner asked for the phone.
