My current apartment is ~1100 a month. We can just afford this unit. If something happens (renoviction, etc), there is NO WAY we can afford to find another location locally, or anywhere in Canada as far as I can see.

Oh and many things we need to survive are not covered. I suffer from PTSD and use THC so I can sleep. My roommate uses CBD to help her sleep at night (anxiety). Even with a compassionate care from a dispenser, it is often more than we can afford (we stretch out what we get, using less than we need).

But because we are SOOOO poor, we made the agreement that we would only rescue another cat once we can be sure of we can be sure of their care (foods and medical). Sadly, without a cat to fufill a support role, I am desperately concerned for my roommate's mental health.

But I am disabled, one of the many Canada forgets. I live at 60% the poverty level. 5 years ago, we were promised to be raised to the poverty line ... and then we're only given 200 after we jump thru hoops and pay extra fees for the doctors' time.
