Relationships between Vhaeraun and his worshippers may be a little more beligerent than most, but the big guy is always looking out for his little guys. Even if he fucks with them time to time. #bg3 #art 🍄 More Comics 🍄 Patreon 🍄 Ko-Fi 🍄

Baldur's Gate 3 fan comic. Aldiirn begins his prayers away from camp, at a spot he's used before but this time, no crucible of his enemies' weapons. "Vhaeraun, masked lord of shadows, this night I deliver no offerings. Seeing as my arm is injured and cannot support the weight of a crucible. And injury that was the result of someone's reckless influence."

"So thanks for that, you light-blasted arsehole," He wraps up with flipping his finger at the night.

Then Aldiirn sighs, brows knotted with worry. "But, please..."

"...find it within your vile heart to protect Zahne under your cloak of night," Aldiirn prays on behalf of his mind-controlled friend. Even where Zahne sleeps in the heart of the Absolute's cult, Vhaeraun is able to slip in an tuck Zahne in under the stars of his cloak.

Considering he watched Haurchefant and Ysayle die, and then he slew Emet-Selch and Zenos, not well. Not well at all. If it was from old age, he would have had time to prepare and have someone keep an eye on him (likely one of the dragons or viera he knows) so he wouldn't do something stupid again.

Man it sure is a time with the EC intro they gave us what they did for me. Like Nicholaux (Nikolai's XIV self) is being shown the possible shard of the only woman he ever fell in love with through visions and now his husband and his surrogate little brother is here with him on the 4th.

If people put a lot of care into trying to perfect the pseudo-Icelandic pronunciations in EC, I better see some people going back and putting that same level of heart into the Inca, Mayan, and Spanish words from DT 🔫

I think about this at least a dozen times a day.

people end up unable to see depiction as anything other than endorsement when their entire cultural diet is escapist fun and reassurance. they see something make them uncomfortable and can only assume people are watching horrible shit as vicarious pleasure and are horrified.

i would really recommend white ppl look into the "right to comfort" as a characteristic of white supremacy. from "white supremacy culture" by tema okun:

"right to comfort:

- the belief that those with power have a right to emotional and psychological comfort (another aspect of valuing 'logic' over emotion)

- scapegoating those who cause discomfort

- equating individual acts of unfairness against white people with systemic racism which daily targets people of color

antidotes: understand that discomfort is at the root of all growth and learning; welcome it as much as you can; deepen your political analysis of racism and oppression so you have a strong understanding of how your personal experience and feelings fit into a larger picture; don't take everything personally"

Rent lowering take: Too many ppl on the internet use autism in their vocabulary as an easy excuse when what they want to say is "My views are full of prejudice and close minded as fuck". I'm on the spectrum and the 'quirkification' of something that affected my entire sense of self drives me insane.

So Nikolai is afraid of the dark and of really tight spaces, so while his room is dimly lit, it must ALWAYS have something shedding small pockets of light at all times, hence why he has a bunch of crystals or something dangling.

a fight for me and me alone ⚜ excited to share the full version of one of my page art illustrations for @ffgentszine.bsky.social! leftover sales for the zine are opening on the 24th of July, if you missed the first round! #finalfantasy ✧ #art

A large illustration of various characters from Final Fantasy 4, locked in combat. Cecil Harvey, a pale-skinned man with flowing white hair clad in white and blue armour, is framed by the moon, as he brandishes his sword. Below him is Kain Highwind, a dragoon man wearing purple armour, clashing against Cecil's sword with his forked lance, and next to him is the Archfiend Rubicante, a red demonic figure clad in a flame-like cloak. The hulking knight Golbez looms at the opposite end of the composition, in black armour, but with a crack in his helmet revealing a lock of silver hair and his eye. A purple dragon winds it's way around his outstretched arms. Above him is the Archfiend Barbariccia, a woman with green-tinged skin and a long, thick cloud of hair. The other two Archfiends, the turtle-like Cagnazzo and the hooded figure Scarmiglione, reach towards Cecil from the bottom of the composition.

Nikolai probably wouldn't due to him needing to be aerodynamic at all times. You cannot take the dragoon out of him no matter what. Sage, on the other hand... She's gun happy and will use her fists, even as a mage, so she probably would just for the bit.
