Hey y'all, I'm looking for some work to bridge the gap while I continue working on @cartridge.dev and @happyview.dev. If you have contract work for #atproto projects (planning, code, architecture), I'd be delighted to help. DM me with details. #atproto #OpenToWork #LookingForWork

Working in tech and having what feels like every single one of my coworkers using AI makes me feel like I'm losing my mind. I don't want to use AI IDEs and I don't want to use chat GPT to summarize my notes. I don't fucking get it.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F. 18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it. We made this website to tell our story: 18f.org

I finally uninstalled Instagram and threads from my phone. The temptation was unfair. And if I don't want to use it or support it, what's the point of it being on my phone anyway? I can post from my computer if I need to.

Gov. Mills showed precisely the sort of integrity in the face of political pressure that the majority of the party currently lacks. More importantly, she did so extemporaneously and without hesitation from a purple state where this isn't a universally popular position. www.maine.gov/governor/mil...

“Maine may be one of the first states to undergo an investigation by his Administration, but we won’t be the last. Today, the President of the United States has targeted one particular group on one particular issue which Maine law has addressed. But you must ask yourself: who and what will he target next, and what will he do? Will it be you? Will it be because of your race or your religion? Will it be because you look different or think differently? Where does it end? In America, the President is neither a King nor a dictator, as much as this one tries to act like it – and it is the rule of law that prevents him from being so."

Does someone ever initiate a hug but they only touch their shoulders to yours? I always walk away confused. Personally that feels more awkward than just fist bumping or like waving goodbye. If we're gonna touch the squish your body into mine so I know you love me.

The Rev. Cedric is one of the very first people you'll encounter in "The Inn at Nightfall!" This also shows off some scene additions, including the clock, the logbook and sideboard, and the updated background with proper shadows! #ScreenshotSaturday #GameDev #IndieDev #IndieGames

A preview of the hand-drawn art from "The Inn at Nightfall." The majority of the scene is a view from inside a foyer, looking out the front door. The door is open, looking out into a bright, well-lit forest. There's also a clock hanging on the wall to the right of the door, a sideboard with a book on it to the left of the door, and a half-circle window above the door letting light in. Just outside the door is an older white man with a cane. He's reasonably well dressed with a blazer, vest, tie (tucked under his vest), and a bowler hat. He's wearing large, round glasses and his mustache obscures most of his lower face.
