But we can't look at a dog brain and conclude that. All you can say is that our brains process inputs and the outputs are not predictable from those inputs. Maybe that is just what autonomy is- a computational system that processes inputs and creates outputs that aren't predictable from them.

I don't think there's anything that could *prove* that something has autonomy because we don't understand how it works. We believe dogs are sentient and have autonomy because they act like they do, and their brains are similar to ours, and our first person experience says that *we* do.

We don't know if sentience is required for decision making or autonomy. Perhaps something can make autonomous decisions without having an internal life. We also have no idea how sentience 'works', and there is no way to determine whether something is sentient or not.

Congress passed the Corporate Transparency Act. Trump vetoed it. Congress overrode his veto on a bipartisan vote. So Trump has decided to simply not enforce the law. I do not understand the role of Congress anymore. I guess they just make suggestions?
