I ride, walk, and drive, and these figures are no surprise. The level of lawlessness is astonishing and I am constantly bevaving defensively, especially while cycling.

I had a fess published a few years ago about how I couldn't connect with my lifelong pals cos all they wanted to do was booze and take coke. I told them how I felt, turned out they thought the same and now we climb Munro's on Sundays. Lads, talk to your pals.

Then say: Kids just don't go outside now, when we were young we were outside all day and got up to all sorts of hilarious trouble.

A picture of Elon Musk, via the London Economic. The quote says “If a monkey hoarded more bananas than it could eat, while most of the other monkeys starved, scientists would study that monkey to figure out what the heck was wrong with it. When humans do it, we put them on the cover of Forbes.“ – Nathalie Robin Justice.

Being a billionaire must be insane. You can buy new teeth, new skin. All your chairs cost 20,000 dollars and weigh 2,000 pounds. Your life is just a series of your own preferences. In terms of cognitive impairment it's probably like being kicked in the head by a horse every day

48 years. Blimey. I remember finding the whole reaction to this movie vaguely baffling in primary school. (we barely went to the movies) It's nostalgic about a period about 20 years earlier, which is equivalent to a movie now being nostalgic about 2006...

New cartoon: The RNLI
Cartoon titled “The RNLI: Some of the people they help,” showing six scenarios involving people rescued by the RNLI. Including a man caught by the tide, a YouTuber swimming without preparation, a middle-lane driver, a neighbour with different political opinions, a superyacht owner who forgot to refuel, and people crossing the Channel in a small boat. The final caption reads, “All human beings – all deserve saving.”

I’ve worn a grubby RNLI cap for decades. I sound London, but I was born in Truro and I was a basically feral (Gen X) kid wandering the coast path with a dog until sunset for a lot of my early life. The lifeboats are in the fabric like trawlers and farms and pasties and fish and chips.

The "master deal maker" gets pretty much what they already had, at no cost except further trashing of international reputation. "Deals" are pretty easy if you never pay attention to the impact they have on every other deal you want to make for the next 10 years. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

What on earth is happening?
This had become the new normal. RNLI crew members had been forced to take their permits off their cars after their tyres have been repeatedly slashed. Most of them have been pilloried at the school gates or turned away from local pubs. One man who worked in search and rescue had been beaten unconscious and hospitalised, recognised for TV interviews he had done.

*Every* school should have all through roads festooned with Zebra and Puffin crossings and every side street made a school street. No consultation, no debate, just implemented. And yes, inconveniencing and slowing down traffic is *THE WHOLE POINT*. It shouldn't be controversial or difficult.
