🎯 'A man raped her' instead of 'she was raped.' Have you ever read a headline that reads "A bank was robbed by a suspect?" Nope. It's "A suspect robbed a bank."

Speeding doesn't actually save you meaningful time. All it really accomplishes is aggressively increasing the chances that you kill yourself or someone else outside your vehicle. It's a mathematically flawed, entirely selfish risk.

How the f* is speeding not reckless and negligent? One does not need to speed to get from A to B. It’s a decision to speed and endanger others.

All of this is a lie. Anyone who has visited recently knows the KC was not "in a virtual state of collapse," and anyone who can read a tax filing can see that it was not "losing hundreds of millions of dollars". In fact, its finances were pretty healthy UNTIL Trump trashified it.

Normalize charging higher costs to owners of giant trucks. Part of this too is of course that we should have more EV options that are smaller. But this guy didn't need to buy a huge Cybetruck that is dangerous because he likes being "high off the road."
Rhode Island passenger vehicles with E-ZPasses pay a discounted toll rate of 83 cents to cross the Pell Bridge, a rate the Turnpike and Bridge Authority set when electronic tolling began in 2008. But that discount only applies to vehicles below 8,000 pounds gross vehicle weight.

“Heavier vehicles (over 8,000 pounds) cause more damage to the bridges so they are not eligible for discounts,” Cara Cromwell, a spokesperson for the Rhode Island Bridge and Turnpike Authority, said in an emailed statement.

Cybertrucks range from 8,199 pounds to 9,169 pounds gross vehicle weight, depending on their configuration. That heft is partly a product of its battery, explained Christian Roselund, a member of Climate Action Rhode Island’s leadership team.

Roselund said the EV industry has largely settled on two types of lithium-ion batteries: nickel manganese cobalt (nmc) and lithium iron phosphate (LFP). NMC batteries are generally more energy-dense, while LFP batteries — which the Cybertruck uses — have historically required more weight to store the same amount of energy.

“Heavier vehicles disproportionately damage and wear out our roads,” Roselund said. “Tolling vehicles based upon weight makes sense.”

While similar to a Monarch Butterfly, this species is named Queen Butterfly. Seen around here more often than the Monarchs... The Cowpen Daisy loves rain, and will flourish abundantly (and quite tall!) if the monsoon season is a good one... From a few days ago.

Zillow has got to get a handle on the use of AI in listings. Using AI to mislead a prospective buyer into thinking that an attic might be useful as a living room and lounge is plainly fraud. Realtors evidently can't/won't police themselves, so the listing services should step in.
