a little look at how we write the script for The Mermaid Mask - I write the script directly into the Unity editor, including the voice directions. Then that gets automatically exported into a document for the actors to read. Then, once we have the audio, we import it back into the dialogue system

As a character customization head, I've always disliked having to choose between "your hair looks beautiful, magnificent, exactly how you wanted" and "oh, you're wearing a hat now, okay here's a ponytail" and so early on in Sunkissed City's development, I came up with this.

wanted to share a cool idea @edgedrive.bsky.social came up with for one-way platforms. They have a lovely physicality to them, and the fact that one-way platforms in Unearth are fairly infrequent should prevent the sound from becoming grating. And!!! They can be rotated for greater versatility!

I put a stupid amount of work in to UI transitions. All for something that lasts less than a second. But it just feels sooo gewd. You might not notice, but that the crosshair never leaves the screen. It just morphs to new shapes. #CherubDev #UE5

Lots of excitement about the squeaky beach sounds in Big Walk! You'll all be happy to know it's the real thing! Was absolutely giddy to get to record them on an actual Australian squeaky beach in Wilson's Promontory. Yes, if you didn't know some beaches there really do squeak. It is pure joy.
