The Kazakh flag fuckin' rules. I wish the Irish flag had an emblem on it (would probably be a harp, much less cool than a sun and an eagle but still) and some celtic knot stuff.

The flag of Kazakhstan. It is light blue/turquoise with an emblem in the centre of a sun with an eagle underneath it with its wings spread, in yellow. On the left hand side (where it would attach to a flagpole I guess) there is an ornate design in a vertical line, also in yellow.

Playing Civ 5 as England but changing the city names to Irish ones so everybody knows what's what

Screenshot of part of my empire in Civilization V. It is spread across one large island and several smaller ones. City names are Dublin, Cork, Galway, Sligo, Ennis and Cobh. Belfast, Limerick and Tralee are on a couple of other islands not pictured. The city state of Quebec is on the big island to the East of my border, and Germany and America are to the North.

AI is killing All About Berlin. When you Googled something, you used to get a link to my website. Now you get an AI-generated answer trained on my work.

This has a devastating impact on traffic. It's hard to fund my work with 70% fewer visitors. In another year, it will be impossible. Instead of writing new guides, I spend my days preparing for that future.

Yesterday, Google announced two things: AI-generated answers will completely replace search results, and AI-generated answers will soon contain ads.

This is the future of the web. I don't know where All About Berlin fits in that future.
