I'm starting to notice a rise in performative hatred of films, TV shows, musicians, and novels where people obsess over things and have to moralize their dislike of something. It's not enough to dislike Star Wars or that Hazbin show. They have to represent EVERYTHING wrong with art. Like ok?

I’ve been thinking about how Jon Watts could approach Episode X, and the first thing I thought was “just mix Skeleton Crew with the Spidey Home trilogy.” Imagine the new characters being within the 12-16 age range, while in a world where Rey reforms the Jedi’s philosophies.

On the subject of Episode X, while I wish Star Wars would move beyond the Skywalker Saga and tell new stories, part of me thinks this new trilogy's going to be different. The vibe's going to be different, and I don't think it'll be an anti-Sequel trilogy fest some fear or want them to be.

Finished Insomniac's Wolverine last night. It's... fine. Like, this game was NOT worth everyone belly-aching over, and saying that Insomniac was cooked or whatever stupid shit you believe. It's definitely not nearly as good as their Spider-Man games, however.

Yeah, the new Resident Evil movie is pretty fuckin’ good! While I haven’t played a lot of the games, the movie is very accurate to the experience of the games. Not sure how I feel about the ending. I’ll have to sleep on it.

Fantastic Four 2 with Spider-Man will boost that movie so much. Before his modern association with the Avengers, the Fantastic Four was the Marvel property Spidey had the most ties with. It would be incredible if Spidey was able to life F4 up like how the F4 lifted Spidey up when the comics started.

From looking at gameplay through some reviews, I feel like Insomnaic’s Wolverine game’s biggest legacy is going to be how not to make a game more accessible. Accessibility isn’t a bad thing, but it becomes bad when it undermines the game design to an extreme degree.

The thing I've often seen about Captain America is that people repeatedly use this panel as a sort of "dunk" on the guy, using it as a way to show how "out of touch" he is and is nothing more than a right wing stooge. But it's clear that no one has *actually* read the book it is from.

I have no real opinion on the Ocarina of Time remake, but them not using the Zelda Direct to debut a trailer for the Zelda movie is giving me MAJOR red flags about it. Then again, when you have Avi Arad as part of your production, there’s always a need to be alarmed.
