A PS, since it's me rather than IOE. I've a few things that may be of interest here - including on Historical Interpretation, Historical Explanation & the Aims of HistEd. Mostly open-access. thecamelsback.org. The blog's a bit under-developed but there's material there on narrative ethics also.
