Sure, have a preference for the Union. Argue and provide evidence it’s beneficial to all. Make emotional pleas for it, through ideas of Britishness or even just of better togetherness. No probs. But denial of a democratic right to self-determination is an abomination on principles way above that.

The Times - which has v much joined in the rightwing clamour to reduce immigration - now reporting that Mahmood’s “success” has cost the economy £4- to £7Bn. I’ve added more data looking at Yes support among those who didn’t vote in the 2014 #indyref. It has climbed from just over 50% in 2018 to 70% this month. Worth also noting that, while in 2018 this group made up just 4% of voters, they now make up around 27%.
