Also, it does not inspire confidence when the CEO of the company keeps openly mocking the idea that someone's old writing could be flagged as a false positive, like this is so ridiculous and never happens and people who say it does are making it up... when it very demonstrably does happen, and did.

Decided to test this for myself and Pangram told me with "high confidence"(!!!!) that sentences of a fic I wrote in literally 2018 were AI-generated

actually, AI is really good for manipulating any abstraction layer where you know at a conceptual level how it relates to the one you understand, but where the toolkit you have available at your abstraction layer does not have an appropriate off-the-shelf solution.

One of the features of LLMlish that you notice when you read a lot of it is the way nouns verb other nouns, ambiently, outside the gravity well of an animate viewpoint. Objects act on each other more often than in human-authored text, or sit passively staring at each other without need of eyes -

This is more or less the conclusion I've reached (though I've seen more than these two videos, but only by actively seeking it out.) Speaking from a "humans to the front" perspective on art, I think an important question to ask is: "WHY is this AI?" Some answers are better than others!
