Possible positive unintended consequences of Elon's Grok Bot: this will likely result in rampant consumer abuse and provoke AI bot regulations. The tools that have been used to annoy consumers for months are now being turned on the corporations. Things don't change until the big guys are impacted.

Right, and the quality of the engagement is better here even though the maximum numbers are smaller. That is exactly what I was saying. That is a reason for people to switch. If max numbers don't matter, the better question is "why use x"?

I still want to know definitively if the Musk $1M voter giveaways were legal. If they were legal, why aren't we seeing Musk and others replicating that action this cycle? If they were not legal, where are the prosecutions? This seems like it should have been a bigger deal over the last 2 years.

low tech solution that doesn't involve buying a new pan/mold: a single layer of aluminum foil on the backing rack. I just keep my middle rack with a piece of aluminum foil crimped on it and replace it every few months. solved my crispy bottom issue for sourdough

why exactly was this not a contender to replace it? for technical or social reasons? i think most people's argument for X boils down to 1 of 2 things. 1) sunk cost and momentum. there are communities entrenched there already and without keystones jumping ship, the community remains stuck there

Guilfoyle also offered to help her mark get favorable treatment from the government, including getting his IRS problems quashed. No dice, but it did result in this great line: “I have paid you $300,000 over the years. As of this memo, I have not received one favor. I am not naive or a sucker."

She also sold her connection with the Trumps to help Deters solve his tax problems. When Republican Congressman Billy Long was confirmed as head of the IRS, Guilfoyle reached out saying: “Don Jr. and I are very close with Eric Deters and his wife and I know he sent you a letter. I am hoping I know how busy you are that you could give some time and attention to it.”

Deters was unhappy with progress, and sent a memo saying: “I have paid you $300,000 over the years. As of this memo, I have not received one favor. I am not naive or a sucker. I need results.”

When you pay someone $300,000, you expect some favors! That’s how bribes work!

She would later text that the IRS Commissioner had responded to her, but that did not seem to be enough to encourage her mark to hand over another $100,000.

I have a very flexible job, but that’s a catastrophic delay. A system where that happens regularly is not usable. I’ve done what I can as a rider — I know the 8:00 is often late, so I take the 7:30. I have several backup routes. But ultimately, this is a system issue with system solutions.
