if you're an nba player in the middle of a game, i think what you really need to do is take a long, hard look at the basketball. every game has got one. figure out who has it, and what you need to do to get hold of it. put it through the basket and you could score yourself two points, maybe more

just since I randomly saw this - basically we choose these values based on how much variety we feel the event has (i.e., Balatro has some randomness in what the options are). The Boxes event has a lot of contextual uses depending on what's in your deck so that also is more 'replayable'.

well that's good to hear at least! We looked into this a bit and it seems like our server connection was disrupted for a short time and anyone who submitted in that window just had it get lost. It hasn't happened again but keeping an eye on it!

agree with the crux of your point - if nothing else the post is far too prescriptive. The idea that to improve games we should narrow them. I think I agree with one core sentiment - for those games that are about 'meaning' (in the way they define it), make them shorter and get folks to the end.

No hope or expectation that this will do anything professionally speaking, and don't need that to ever change. So far it seems like the algorithm doesn't reward 'outrage merchants' in the same way other platforms do, which feels like a breath of fresh air.
