Makes sense to me and you can feel it in the game. The lack of friction across its time system and vampire role-playing undermined its potential to really stand out.

I'm craving a Vampire Hitman thanks to this underrated RPG series that almost cracked the supernatural stealth code
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong's delightfully devilish infiltration missions show how the supernatural franchise could evolve its video game offerings

I was ready for the PS1 and PS2 era nostalgia this survival horror game would bring, but I never expected it to remind me of the most divisive Silent Hill
Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Fatal Frame collide in Heartworm, a retro-styled survival horror that shocked me with how effective a simple camera flash can be

Great article from @jazzgouldwilson.bsky.social on Nighthawks, which I've also been hooked on the past week! Easily my favorite vampire RPG of the year.

Nighthawks is a vampire RPG that delivers what Bloodlines 2 failed to accomplish in its first 5 minutes

I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽‍♀️

I cannot emphasise enough how truly elite this game is. If you loved VTM Bloodlines and you haven't tried this, you absolutely have to. The text adventure approach opens up so many possibilities, and so many choices are unfathomably accounted for.

I've also been playing and loving Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. Lately, I've been finding remakes a bit frustrating, so tried to drill into why it works so well for me here.
gamesradar.com
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is such a perfect JRPG remake, it has me wishing for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake I could've had
I adore Square Enix's secret sequel approach, but Trails' dedication to deepening its source material feels like the perfect way to modernize

If you're a follower of the church of character action games, Control Resonant is a bit of a flop

Oscar TK @mroscartk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Control Resonant still has charm, but I wish I liked it way more than I did. Tighter sequences are where it shines, but it's often very spread out, and what I was doing moment to moment felt relatively unchanged from hour one to the end.

Found Wolverine flawed but fun, a solid popcorn-muncher if you like superhero stuff (I played it twice already). My own review is an upcoming magazine, but for now I've written about how much I appreciate its fresh take on its mutant world.

The MCU's post-Doomsday X-Men should take notes from Marvel's Wolverine, just like Brand New Day did with Spider-Man

We are aware that Steam has classified Nighthawks as an adult game and has excluded it from searches (and delisted it entirely in certain countries). We are working on it. Valve is under the impression that this game is way sexier than it actually is.
