One of my favorite foundational memories of my teenage years was the first time I went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was at the Capri in Jackson. My parents, veterans of midnight shows in the 80s, helped me pack the right props for me and my friends in a big brown paper grocery bag.

I was lucky to see Glen Hansard perform several times. Swell Season at the House of Blues New Orleans in 2009 is still probably the best live show I’ve ever seen. I had tickets to see Swell Season again last year but missed due to endo pain that day. Couldn’t have known it was my last chance.

simultaneously true that athletic scholarship is a fantasy for almost everyone AND if you are competitive for a scholarship, the likelihood you lose out to a trans athlete is also essentially zero, given both the number of scholarships per year (~200k) and total trans athletes (max in the 100s)
