New paper from me, out soon in Behavior Research Methods: I'm a lil bit obsessed with good online recruitment and the result is this side-quest paper that made use of data we had collected that recruited people online in three ways (met them on Zoom, validated their email, and Prolific). 🧵>>

A paper without author? We did a paper years back on overly positive framing of results, isms, and marginally sig effects as a consequence of academic capitalism years back. Looks like my younger I did not spend enough time with ecomomists.

New preprint from my stay at @invest-flagship.bsky.social! 🧐 Do genes moderate earning declines following endogenous and exogenous job loss? 📉 Those with a higher PGI for depression experience a larger drop in earnings, but only for exogenous job loss 🧠 We discuss implications for GxE! 🧬

We need a way for saying AI was involved. Like "I machine translated a text". "I vibe coded something digital", gets close to it. Alternatively, I may just say/write "Aye" did something. Because I & aye are both pronounced as "ei" :-) while while Aye implies AI acknowledged and executed a command.

Values research shows that people differ more by field of study then by country. Second, this is a selection and not socialization effect. So the entire discussion is fake. Plus group differences always mask individual similarities across groups. Rest is empty talk and propaganda.

Strange mix of findings,if you use AI in funding proposals, then you likely higher your chances of funding (unclear if reviewers used them too). Then the same scientists publish more (likely with the help of AI). The quality of the output is however lower than excellent. Publish fewer better papers!

GDP is a bad way to measure wealth, and it doesn't take a lot into account, including happiness or nature. An example if GB would join US is would be the poorest state by a margin. But on results on things that matter are different class. What would you prefer?
