Does it play? @doesitplay.org · 01/09/2026
#PSBlackout Stage 1 completed! Here is what's important moving forward.
We would like to thank everyone who helped spread the idea and took part.

Now the fight for a better gaming world continues. And we need to stand united!

PlayStation's plans set a dangerous precedent. If they go all-digital, others will follow. This will affect us all, regardless of whether you earn a living with games or just play them. Regardless of where you play or how you purchase your games.

You will lose the only form of ownership on console. The only legal form of preservation. Trade conventions/fairs will eventually die. Retailers will lose sales and close. Developers lose additional revenue and discoverability. Without physical and second hand price competition dwindles. Price hikes and fewer sales will be the new norm, pricing some people out of the hobby entirely.

And what you will pay exorbitant sums for, is not even yours to keep. Without customer protection laws everything you buy can be stripped from you at a whim. As you can witness today when over 500 Studio Canal movies get erased from people's libraries without any repercussions. What do you think happens to Wolverine when Sony and Marvel eventually part ways?

That is why we need to fight two battles at once!

We need to protect physical games as an option. For preservation, for the experience, for a healthy market, and to keep our hands on what we bought.

We need to push for better customer rights in the digital space. Actual ownership & end-of-life plans, so games don't just disappear, when a publisher ends support.

Support us! Support initiatives like Stop Killing Games! Speak to your local customer protection agencies and local politicians tasked with taking care of these topics!

Continue to make your voices heard online. There will be more chances in the future to take action again. Thank you all once more for standing up together. Let's continue to raise awareness and get more people on board!

It strikes me that the least the press could do is be as rigorous and dedicated to publishing details of what we now know about how Arday was targeted and hounded as they were about the original accusations. They won’t, of course, but that’s what would happen in a just world.

The BBC is promoting RefUK as a govt in waiting, when RefUK have 8 MPs, only 3 elected, the other 5 defected from the Tories. Lib Dems have 71 MPs but are ignored. Ofcom is supposed to ensure impartiality of the BBC - the national broadcaster - so clearly Ofcom is complicit in this political bias.

RefUK, RW media, & Eurofash are plainly trying to whip up a panic about this. Any serious report must begin by explaining that Ceuta is in Africa - not mainland Spain - and 48k+ of the 50k crossers were already returned. It is frightening how many still don't know this. Please share on all socials.
