Ya'know I’m tired of watching people in our own community (not just in kink, but the wider queer community) throw slurs around like they’re nothing, then hide behind “free speech” and “censorship” when called out.

You know what words do.
You know they hurt.
Don’t pretend they’re harmless just because you’re not the target.

Free speech means the government can’t arrest you for talking.
It doesn’t mean I have to sit here and listen.
It doesn’t mean there are no consequences.
It doesn’t mean your words don’t do damage.

Words built the cages I’m still trying to break out of.
Words were how I got controlled, trained, broken down.
So don’t tell me “it’s just words.”

I get it—you want to be edgy.
You want to reclaim something.
You want to feel like you can say anything without someone policing you.

But using slurs isn’t transgressive.
It’s just lazy.
It’s punching down while calling it freedom.

I came here looking for community.
For people who understand what it’s like to exist outside the lines.
And instead I find the same shit, just with different excuses.

Being marginalized doesn’t give you a free pass to marginalize others.
Being hurt doesn’t mean you get to hurt people and call it coping.

I just want us to exist.
To build spaces where we don’t have to perform or defend or justify.
Where we don’t tear each other down and call it community.

But apparently that’s too much to ask.

So yeah—I’m tired.
Tired of watching people who should know better
act like consequences for harm is the same as oppression.

Words matter.
They shape reality.
And if you’re using yours to make others feel small,
don’t be surprised when people stop wanting you around.

That’s not censorship.
That’s just people deciding
you’re not worth the damage you cause.
