Anyone have audiobook or audio drama horror recs for October? I like supernatural horror, no slasher/serial killer/true crime stuff. I've enjoyed Old Gods of Appalachia, Delta Green live play, T. Kingfisher's Wolf Worm for example. Preferably no explicit descriptions of sexual violence. Thanks!

Came real close to a real bad time this weekend when I was clearing bricks and lava rocks in the yard and discovered a wasp nest.

An abandoned landscaping brick dropped in the grass. Behind it, bare dirt is visible from where it was removed...along with the top of an enormous wasp nest.

Like deciding property taxes were BS and stopping payments so I had to use all my savings to save him & my brother & his family from foreclosures.

What you need to understand is nothing we built was “off the shelf.” Store-bought environmental assets for stop-motion features do not exist. We were given concept art and told “make it look like this.” Everything you see here, down to the dirt and moss, was meticulously designed and crafted.

Visited our Future Fossils Megalosaurs at Blenheim for the first time since we installed them last month. Because of how we engineered them to be lightweight & articulated, they sway in the wind. When you catch it in the corner of your eye, it gives them a little flourish of life.

NEW: DHS's Inspector General releases a scathing report about the Everglades detention camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz." The OIG finds that the now-closed camp, violated multiple ICE standards. The OIG also confirms detainees were punished with placement in a metal cage in the Florida heat.🧵

Underneath is a picture of a metal cage that is 4 feet 3 inches wide by 4 feet 3 inches long, and 7 feet 9 inches high. The cage itself is placed on a tiny spot of fake turf, and then surrounded by another chainlink fence with razor wire on top. The cage is covered by a roof, but it's entirely exposed to the outside otherwise, meaning mosquitos and no air conditioning.
