More context on this #Artemis II image: * This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right * The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon: ☀️🌍🚀🌕

A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up. I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

A screenshot from Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give you up music video

A photograph of the seminary gym in knives out. It has the same window.

@alanedgehead.bsky.social I have just educated myself on knob-and-tube wiring because of your stream.

Fun fact about the Donkey Kong Country cartoon: The entirety of season one had to be redone last minute because the scripts were so racist and sexist that they had to fire every writer.

@alanedgehead.bsky.social Your stream is delaying dinner time, and Prompto isn’t happy.

Prompto, the grey cat, is sitting in front of a TV showing Mario Kart World. He is demanding his dinner.

Canadian #Election coverage is always so odd. This riding has 1 of 273 polling locations reporting in. A grand total of 8 votes have been counted. Here’s who’s winning right now.

Flow is a good movie, and this black cat agrees. Hits hard though. #cats

The title scene for the movie “Flow” is on a TV. A black cat named Noctis is watching the TV intently.

The day started with our traditional Ramentines, followed by hauling three cats to the vet for a checkup. They are quite skilled at yowling in sync while in their carriers. #ValentinesDay #cats

A bowl of Hokkaido style spicy miso ramen, which a set of disposable chopsticks laying on top.

A countertop at a vet clinic. Iggy, the orange longhair, is nicely laying on the counter. Prompto, the soft grey cat, and his brother Noctis, silky black hair, are both hiding in a stainless steel sink barely big enough for the both of them.

Prompto, the grey cat, is laying on the tray for a pet scale. He has an angry expression.

Noctis (black cat) and his brother Prompto (grey) have squeezed in to a carrier meant for one. Noctis’ tail is curled against his brother.

Canadians do not wish to become American. If you've ever mistaken a Canadian for an American, we are quick to correct you. Canada's felt more divided over recent years but there's an overwhelming sense that our people have put their differences aside to stand together as Canadians. Vive le Canada!
