Cleaned up and tweaked some older alien critter designs that will be available as adoptables soon!

Preview image of five creature/character designs.

Left to right: A quilled bird/reptile alien with four ears and a colorful crest on its nose, a faceless alien entity with a dusky blue coloration and bone detailing, a four-eyed amphibious alien outfitted with a breathing aparatus, a second faceless alien entity with a more purple/pink coloration than the first, and a seal-like alien wearing armor made of hide and repurposed tech scrap.

I'd done some work for dayLITE a couple years ago, and then left the project when it became pretty clear the royalties would not be worth the time taken from my other work.

So I never thought I'd have to bring this back but on behalf of people who were affected by him, I am. It appears he never left. While he may have left bluesky, he stayed on insta, deleted anything to do with daylite and changed his name to @/cam.reads.n.roves (1/2)

— For too long, I looked for my own path in your footsteps.

A long horizontal canvas featuring several depictions of my ffxiv character Zhai, an au ra woman, at various points within her story. The figures follow one after the other and are depicted from left to right as follows:

1 - (left-facing) - She is a small child, chasing after a woman (her mother). Her mother walks forward, giving no notice to the child behind her. Her mother is backed by a bright red depiction of the red moon Dalamud, as if it is a halo.

2 - she is a child, depicted alone and staring down at bloodied hands and clothing. Her eyes are shadowed.
3 - she is a teen, marching forward even while studiously writing in a tome, her entire focus upon the book. At her heels, a small carbuncle follows.
4 - she is an adult, standing firm with a summoner's tome in hand. She points forward, directing Bahamut Egi into battle, a look of fierce determination on her face.
5 - she is doubled over on the ground, dreadwyrm wings sprouting from her back. Her scales are twisted into more monstrous shapes, and her features are contorted in distress, as if the power is out of her control.
6 - she sits bare on the ground, facing away from the viewer. The scales upon her back are ruined by open bloodied wounds where the wings once were, and one hand reaches tentatively over her shoulder to touch them.
7 - she is armored, pulling herself up from the ground with a greatsword for support, with a ghostly silhouette of Fray standing behind her. This image faces the opposite way, no longer following the memory of her mother.
8 - she marches resolutely (if morosely) forward, bedecked in a dark knight's armor. She is backed by a bright red depiction of the Abyssal Shriek spell, as if it is a halo.

To anyone who, like me, has suffered from "by the time I am done with work I have no energy left to work on things for me" disease, I can highly recommend giving yourself an hour (or even just 30 mins) at the START of your day to just draw for you. It seems so simple but took me forever to do.

Back on my FMA bullshit after rewatching Brotherhood with the roomie and realized I never posted these old lust/riza AU fanarts on bsky so now y'all get my brainworms.

fanart of lust and riza from Fullmetal Alchemist; Riza faces away from the camera as lust peers over her shoulder towards the viewer, lifting Riza's shirt so that the scars and alchemical symbols on her back are visible.

collection of sketches of lust and riza from FMA; from an AU in which Riza takes the mantle of Wrath and has the Ultimate Eye. It's gay.

Riza and lust from FMA, in a compromising position. Lust's ouroboros tattoo clearly visible, riza looking troubled w/ her shirt pulled down over one shoulder. Once again: it is gay. 🖌️

I did a tonne of research so you don't have to. I talk about masking, air filtration, and air quality rating systems, & I give concrete suggestions to help you keep yourself and your loved ones safe. If you don't have this information yet, it's time to get educated. Wildfires don't respect borders.

Thank you to @guttertongue.bsky.social for this absolutely excellent character design! Decades as a petty tyrant proved disappointing: bandits obnoxiously gristly, subjects obnoxiously thankful. So they set off for uncharted lands and the monsters lurking within, hoping for a real challenge.

A character sheet depicting a monstrous fantasy character. They are similar in appearance to an enormous slug, although the front of their body rises up into a humanoid torso, arms, and head. They are tan and brown in color, with their 'mantle' covered in spots and lined with a row of eyestalks. Their gastropod 'foot' is lighter in color, almost a dark yellow. They are capable of rapidly secreting hard metallic 'scales' as a defense, and reabsorbing them back into their body once the threat recedes.

They wear a crude necklace with three animal skulls, a green spotted rag tied around the waist of their humanoid portion. A number of larger monster skulls are tied together with rope and also worn like a belt around their waist. Into the back of their mantle are stuck a number of broken bladed weapons.

The frontal portion of this character's body is protean in nature, and so they have a number of forms. The form they prefer is that of a muscular humanoid woman, although they also sometimes appear as a much skinnier humanoid man. In both cases they have spots on their shoulders, unkempt brown hair, eyes with black sclera and red irises, and dark fingernails. They can also take on any of a number of considerably more monstrous forms should the need arise.

The character sheet depicts the following images of them:

A side view depicting their full body, with dark brown overlapping scales covering every part of their body except their mantle, arms, and head.

Two halfbody views depicting their humanoid guises.

A primitive looking axe, which they keep as a favored weapon.

Two frontal halfbody views depicting their humanoid form with and without their defensive scales.

A fullbody depiction of them in their monstrous form. They are rearing up, and the humanoid part of their body has been replaced by a monstrous looking 'head' with six clawed arms and a pair of horns covered in eyes.

Fix your hearts or die. You know how many of us joke that Pride month should be followed by Wrath? This year I feel a deep, burning fury towards all who use transgender lives as political propaganda. We are human beings. You cannot erase us. Happy Pride. Trans liberation at any cost. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

A digital illustration showing a knight in full armour. They are riding on a black steed which is mostly out of frame. The frame in question is green and shows a chain going around as a decorative element. That chain is broken by the knight's raised sword. From the knight's chest bursts a roaring flame in the colours of the trans pride flag.

I am so not looking forward to this heat wave (not that anyone is) mostly because my tiny dog son really, REALLY does not deal with heat (or cold. Or much of anything) well. I foresee a lot of night time walks this week. Hoping against everything that our power does not go out like it did last year.
