Here's a new one I created as a demonstration for The Broadmoor Galleries' "9th Annual Broadmoor Art Experience" a few weeks ago. The event is held at The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs in July and includes artists from all over the country. "Just Chillin'," oil, 16"x12".

I got this lovely piece from @ngreentail.bsky.social!!! Thank you so much. Countless are the children of Rushédak, but no matter how distant they wander their hearts always yearn for the homeworld.

An illustration of six different fictional characters with an emphasis on the anatomy and body style of each (they are wearing only underpants). All have canine ears, tails, and forearms and legs covered with fur. Three of them are slight or lean in build, while the other three are more muscular.

The top left character is a kajüretu, a vulpine species considered akin to fey or tricksters by their distant brethren the kajtlemta. He is the skinniest of all and has fair skin and auburn hair.

All the other characters are kajtlemta, a species with lupine traits.

The top middle character is a fisherman of sorts. He is tall and lean, and has light brown hair and fur.

The top right character is Anrü, adventurer and descendant of a lineage of forest guardians. He is relatively short and has dark, almost black hair and fur.

The bottom left character is Kaslarul, a private investigator and pit fighter on a distant world. His distant ancestors were demon cultists; such residual corruption manifests in the form of his red pupils, very pointed ears, and stripes on his fur. He has shaggy black hair and is muscular in appearance.

The bottom middle character is Keshral, former slave turned space pirate. He is also quite muscular, with black hair and white fur.

The bottom right character is Shajumésha, a locomotive engineer during a bygone age of kajtlemta industrialization. He is the most muscular of all, and his dark grey fur covers the entirety of his arms as well as much of his chest.

I always wanted to paint a larger version of the white wolf with the lantern because so many people asked for prints. The original was just a tiny postcard-sized miniature, so making prints simply wasn't possible.

Thank you to @guttertongue.bsky.social for this absolutely excellent character design! Decades as a petty tyrant proved disappointing: bandits obnoxiously gristly, subjects obnoxiously thankful. So they set off for uncharted lands and the monsters lurking within, hoping for a real challenge.

A character sheet depicting a monstrous fantasy character. They are similar in appearance to an enormous slug, although the front of their body rises up into a humanoid torso, arms, and head. They are tan and brown in color, with their 'mantle' covered in spots and lined with a row of eyestalks. Their gastropod 'foot' is lighter in color, almost a dark yellow. They are capable of rapidly secreting hard metallic 'scales' as a defense, and reabsorbing them back into their body once the threat recedes.

They wear a crude necklace with three animal skulls, a green spotted rag tied around the waist of their humanoid portion. A number of larger monster skulls are tied together with rope and also worn like a belt around their waist. Into the back of their mantle are stuck a number of broken bladed weapons.

The frontal portion of this character's body is protean in nature, and so they have a number of forms. The form they prefer is that of a muscular humanoid woman, although they also sometimes appear as a much skinnier humanoid man. In both cases they have spots on their shoulders, unkempt brown hair, eyes with black sclera and red irises, and dark fingernails. They can also take on any of a number of considerably more monstrous forms should the need arise.
