I didn't think the GenAI bubble would result in a financial crisis, just a run-of-the-mill tech bubble. I may be wrong about that.

We are saddened to say goodbye to our dear friend, Oscar-winning actress Eva Marie Saint. One of the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, we’ll forever be grateful for unforgettable contributions to cinema, her generosity and her humor. Our thoughts are with her loved ones.

I needed to pull an exact quote and I revisited Kissinger's @foreignaffairs.com article, "The Viet Nam Negotiations" (1969). Its clarity as to the strategic failures of US intervention to-date were remarkable.

You know Internet ensh*ttification has ruined sports media when reporters covering teams have to put out “Watch Guide” articles at the beginning of the season, so that you know where to find games.

Ugh. I had bought a Dell Precision M4800 at the start of my PhD program to have a workstation that could run ArcGIS. That computer is now 7 years old and cannot be updated to Windows 11. I hate planned obsolescence. A search regarding FreeBSD and there seems to be lots of problems on that H/W.
