Listen: it’s me and a friend making fun of this Charlie Kirk tattoo, but Charlie has a 0% likeness and these fucking pterodactyl arms. He looks like the aliens at the end of the movie AI with Hailey Joel Osment. My friend and I then had some witty banter on the topic. Maybe you had to be there. Alt text has such I high character count. I love this. This could be longer than the post itself. But a picture is worth a thousand words, so that philosophically makes a certain amount of sense. Man, Bluesky has actual principles. Imagine a social networking platform actually giving a fuck about accessibility. Fuck Elon. Anyway:

Yeah, my friend and I had a funny text exchange about some bad art. It was super sophic and made me seem like the kind of guy who would casually drop “sophic” into a skeet’s alt text.

Took 6 months to get sick of the beard. It keeps my face nice and warm during our cold-ass winters, but I hate the upkeep. 😅

Regardless of your immigration status in the U.S., you have guaranteed rights under the Constitution. Know your rights and assert them.

If You Interact with ICE Agents at Work: Ask if you are free to leave. If so, you may calmly walk out. You have the right to refuse consent to a search. You have the right to remain silent. You do not have to discuss your immigration status with anyone, such as about where you were born, whether you are a citizen, or how you entered the country. If you have valid immigration documents, you should show them. Never provide fake documents. If you are arrested, say that you wish to remain silent until speaking with a lawyer. You have the right to record your interaction with immigration agents as long as you do not interfere.

If ICE Agents Show Up at Your Door
You do not have to open the door. If you do, stay calm – you have rights.
Ask what they are there for (and ask for an interpreter if you need one).
If they ask to enter, ask if they have a warrant signed by a judge and if so, ask to see it (through a window or slipped under the door).
If they do not have a warrant signed by a judge, you may refuse to let them in. Ask them to leave any information at your door.
If they force their way in, do not resist. Tell everyone in the residence to remain silent. If you are arrested, you have the right to remain silent. Do not sign anything until you speak with a lawyer.

Tú tienes derecho a guardar silencio.

In about 12 hours the nightmare begins. Hold your friends and family close. Try to protect your communities and your sanity. All empires fall and madness can’t reign forever. Work toward that brighter day as we walk together through this valley of darkness.

how it feels to drive at night with astigmatism:

$A wider field view of Westerlund 1. A dense cluster of bright stars, each with six large and two small diffraction spikes, due to the telescope’s optics. They have a variety of sizes depending on their brightness and distance from us in the cluster, and different colours reflecting different types of star. Patches of billowing red gas can be seen in and around the cluster, lit up by the stars. Small stars in the cluster blend into a background of distant stars and galaxies on black.$
