Perfect example of malinformation, of the context-stripping type. Did this exchange happen? Yes. Is there critical context missing? Also yes. (There were no such texts, hence why Smith was so stunned by this "gotcha" exchange.)

The C19 pandemic shifted a lot of healthcare in Canada to phone/online & limited support people at clinics. At the same time, we asked pregnant ppl to get both routine + new Covid vaccination. Amidst this uncertainty & shifting support landscape, how did pregnant ppl make vaccine decisions? 1/2

My institution's zoom has started with "AI transcription" and when someone has it on in their meeting the icon constantly flashes at the top of the screen. In looking for how to hide this, so far I've only found other people complaining to Zoom UX about this. So I'm here asking HOW DO WE HIDE THIS?!

I appreciate the implication that US influencers calling a film “woke” has little bearing on its success. However, while one could argue the *film* wasn’t a sequel, the case for it not being a remake baffles me. (How many previous Odyssey/Ulysses films & miniseries have there been?)

Wake up, babe. The Prime Minister just dropped “hydronym”.
The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”.

The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.

We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms.

Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.

BBC News headline: "Cervical cancer deaths fall to zero in young women given vaccine." Passage from BBC News article:
"Around 200 lives have been saved in England so far thanks to a vaccine which protects against cervical cancer, according to analysis published in the Lancet.

The first study of its kind, external showed that deaths have fallen sharply since school-age girls were offered the human papillomavirus (HPV) jab in 2008.

Between 2020 and 2024, no cervical cancer deaths were recorded in women aged 20 to 24 - the first time that had happened over a five-year period.

Without vaccination, around 23 deaths would have been expected."
