FWIW, the opinion piece you linked to and your own contention seem to conflate an absence of public airing with secrecy. But those aren't the same thing. It's not as though we're *unaware* of the execution. Nobody is keeping it from us. It's not actually secret.

I have my doubts about that. A conversation implies you were open to listening. I *agreed* with your position re: secrecy, I just didn't agree with using it as a counterpoint to an accusation that Trumpers are bloodthirsty. And rather than respond to that you continued to argue about secrecy.
